Faith Speaks
Darkness Looms
When you see darkness coming your way and it is looming over you, you usually run for cover. You run to a safe place and stay until it passes over. Friend, it is the same with God, you run to Him when darkness covers the land. He is our light, hope, and salvation. We are going to see some dark days ahead, but don’t fear, don’t fret, just run to the arms of Jesus! He can handle it and He will carry you. When darkness looms read and speak His word. You will see clouds scatter and the light shine through your dark and gloomy day.

Alone
You don’t have to shoulder this alone. Remember you and your spouse are together in this. This is an amazing time to see your marriage grow closer together as you lean on each other. Alone is a choice. You can choose to be independent, like the world tells you too, or the devil lies to you, and so you push down your feelings and explode when you can’t take anymore. Or, you can go to your spouse and calmly let them know your fears, your frustrations, and your thoughts. They may not be able to fix it but they can hold you, love you, and pray with you. You can do this together!!
What’s Real
In a turbulent time like we are living in right now, you can get really confused and wonder what’s real? Who is telling the truth, and who do we believe? I can tell you I’ve always been taught don’t believe everything you see, or hear. The exception to that rule is the Word of God. We can always believe the Word. So when everything else seems to be falling apart, crumbling around you, and you can’t find a truth, search His word, listen to His voice, and know that Jesus is God. That my friend is the most real thing you will ever have!
Speaking
We speak everyday, some more than others. It’s the way we communicate, and sometimes that is through text, email, posts, phone calls, or face to face. However you communicate daily, you are speaking and saying something. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. We have great power in the most unruly member of our body. The tongue, it’s how we form words, and tell what we want to say. Our brain thinks it, our voice makes a noise and our tongue declares it! What are you speaking today? Talk to your spouse about what they hear from you and vice versa. Find out if you are speaking life or death?
Fear
Fear is a killer! It paralyzes, and stops you dead in your tracks. It cripples you to the point you can’t utter a word. You know those horrible horror movies, the ones you have nightmares about, the ones that strike fear into every fiber of your being? Where do you think they come from? Fear is straight from the pit of hell. I know this doesn’t sound too encouraging, but we have to call a spade a spade. When you feel fear, know it’s not of God. It’s a tactic to keep you from having a blessed, faith filled life, when you are free. Fear comes when you have done something wrong, or you believe something is bigger than God. What is your biggest fear?
Faith
The opposite of fear is faith. Faith sets you free, it lifts you up, it says anything is possible. Too many have succumbed to fear lately and have set faith to the side. When everything around you says, “you are going to die,” “you can’t make it,” “it’s too much,” or, “I can’t make it!” Stop!! Don’t say another word until you get your mind right, read the word, and then speak faith!!! When you start to speak faith, something you can’t see, you see the sun shine down on you and peace comes in! Speak faith and watch the dumb speak, the deaf hear, and the dead rise up!! Faith Speaks, it speaks because it is the foundation of everything you believe. It speaks of all of the miracles of the bible and all of the miracles in your life!! So when the world, your marriage, your family, or you are fighting an unseen battle, remember to speak faith and watch God do miracles in your life!!!
Scripture
Tuesday: Isaiah 60:2 says, “For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.” When you have Jesus and the world is dark around you, remember His glory shall be seen all over you!!
Wednesday: Genesis 2:18 says, “And the LORD God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” God made marriage for us to do this life together, so don’t let too much space come between you when life is hard.
Thursday: Psalm 34:4 says, “I sought the Lord, and He answered me, And delivered me from all my fears.” When you are afraid and don’t know what to believe, go to His word and He will deliver you!
Friday: Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” What are you speaking? How is it helping? You will eat the fruit of it.
Saturday: 1 John 4:18 says, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” God has not given us a spirit of fear, because it causes torment, but power, love, and a sound mind!
Sunday: Mark 11:23 says, “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” What a powerful verse this is!! But you still have to have and speak faith!! Do it today!!
