Joyfully Jubilant

Season Of Joy

Tis’ the season of Peace, Love, and Joy! It’s the season of finding joy as you prepare for time with family, friends, and celebrating the holidays! What if life is hard right now? How do you find joy when your world is falling apart? Is your marriage on the brink of disaster? Lets look at how we can find joy each day, even when we feel lost and hopeless. There is hope!!

Alone

When you are feeling alone and discouraged, it’s hard to feel joy. You can be in a room full of people and feel all alone. We go through trials in life and it doesn’t stop at the holidays. People we love pass away. They can be friends, family, children, or even a spouse. This can cause each holiday to be a hurtful reminder of the one lost. We can be distant, or in conflict with our families, or even be in a battle with our spouse. As life keeps moving, and we have pain even around the holidays, we can feel very alone.

Loss

November and December are not exempt from loss. Loss can come in the form of a job loss, a home, a property, a friend, family, or a spouse. This may not be a death, but could feel like one. People experience loss everyday. In marriage, it’s no different. You and your spouse will experience each others loss or feelings of loss. Finding hope together is imperative!

Discouragement

Discouragement comes when we have lost our joy. It’s the feeling that hope is gone, and we are left without courage to face the day. Being discouraged is a feeling that no one cares and we are in this by ourselves. Maybe someone has intentionally or unintentionally hurt us, our feelings, or spouse and family. We can be discouraged because we were caught of guard by their actions. Discouragement can also come from believing a lie.

Joyful

The word joyful is found in the dictionary as full of joy, as ones heart, glad, and delighted. Joy itself is defined as the emotion of great delight, happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying, or elation. When we are speaking of being joyful, we are talking about emotionally connecting to the heart of God! He is Joy unspeakable and full of Glory! We can also feel this joy when we are celebrating the love we have with our spouse!! Even in the midst of pain, disappointment and hurt we can still be joyful!

Jubilant

Jubilant in the dictionary is described as showing great joy, satisfaction, or triumph, rejoicing, or exultant! It’s taking joy to a new level!! When we find joy in God, we will be satisfied, triumphant, we will rejoice, and will exult His great name!! Then all other relationships will see the overflow of what we just possessed in God’s presence!! To be Joyfully Jubilant, is to go through this life and all of it’s ups and downs, and possess joy and multiply it’s benefits!! Our marriages can be Joyfully Jubilant when we are intentional!

Joy Of The Lord

How do we posses this great joy? We find our joy in the Lord!! His joy can be ours too!! We get joy through rejoicing, by asking, by the will of God, with faith, and the list goes on and on!! I challenge you to look up all of the scriptures on joy! Speak them out loud!! You will be changed, you will feel the heavy load lift! My friend you were never meant to carry the weight of the world, God did that for us on Calvary and because He lives we can have joy!! Your marriage can see any kind of trial and still be a Joyfully Jubilant Marriage!!

Prayer

Our prayer for you today is that you find joy in the Lord, in your marriage, in your circumstances, and in your pain. When you find it, share it with the one whom you love!! Laugh together, cry together, live this beautiful life together, but find joy!!

Scriptures

Monday: Romans 12:12 says, “Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.” Rejoicing or having joy in hope!! Praying today for God to help you to rejoice again in your trial and find joy!

Tuesday: Psalm 118:24 says, “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” No matter how alone you feel, God is with you!! He will never leave you or forsake you and it’s the Lords day so we can always find joy in it!

Wednesday: Nehemiah 8:10 says, “for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” God’s joy is our strength for every loss in our lives! He is with is and will give us joy in the worst of situations because He is with us!

Thursday: Joshua 1:9 says, “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” We don’t need to be discouraged, but when we are we can read and speak this scripture!! God is for our marriage and all we go through!!

Friday: 1 Peter 1:8-9 says, “Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.” We have joy when we have faith in Jesus!! Joy comes from Him!

Saturday: Psalm 16:11 says, “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” We find joy in His presence!!! Your marriage can have this same joy as you spend time with the King of Kings!

Sunday: Proverbs 15:23 says, “A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!” Speak His word and you and your marriage will have joy!
