Saturday Morning Dreaming
Excited
Have you ever been excited about a dream God put in your heart? What did you think? Were you afraid you couldn’t make it happen? That is the great thing about God sized dreams!!! You don’t have to make anything happen. Work? Yes! You definitely have to work to reach goals, but when it’s a God dream, He will open the doors at the right time and give you everything you need within your grasp to make it yours. How do you know if it’s God? It will line up with the word and it will be confirmed. You will also not be able to shake it. Marriage is a place for you and your spouse to allow God to deposit dreams into your hearts and minds!

Saturdays
I don’t know about you but I look forward to our Saturdays together. We both work hard all week and so Saturday is the day we focus on each other. Also, we get to spend time together praying and reading the word, and then discussing it. We also allow time for dreaming and talking about our future. We go over important things we need to address with ministry, home, family, schedules, and dreams. We have learned over the years to be expectant at what God will do!
Expectant
Too many times we get caught up in the hum drum of the daily grind and forget to be expectant. Why? We feel we just need to check off a list, make it through, and pay bills. Where is the faith in our marriages? It dies when we stop dreaming. We have to stir up that gift and speak faith!! Become expectant!! Believe God for the impossible!! This takes being intentional.
Intentional Dreaming
You have to make time for the things you want and you have to speak it out. Don’t walk around saying, “we can never do that,” “it cost too much,” “that will never happen.” Our words have a lot to do with even thinking about sitting down and dreaming. When was the last time you dreamt together about what could be? Set a time, sit down uninterrupted, get out a pad of paper, and discuss your dreams with each other.
Aligned
Once you write them out and discuss them, make sure you both are in alignment with God’s word and each other. You need to know if God has put this dream in your heart or if it’s just something you want. You also want to make sure you both are on board. Sometimes dreams are right and align with God’s word, but the timing is off. We have waited years for a lot of our dreams to come to pass and some we are still waiting on. They will happen, but it has to be the right time. Some are just now coming to pass.
Confirmation
How will you know if it’s right? You both will feel a peace, confirmed by the word and your Pastor. IF you don’t have a Pastor I would say that having a covering and voice in your life is so important if you are following Jesus. We are so blessed to have the best Pastor and First Lady of our church to lead and guide us. Trusting them as they have a great walk with the Lord and are themselves under Authority. This is a hard thing for many today as we live in a society that rejects anyone having a say in our lives.
Authority
Authority is so important for your marriage as well. We have order in our lives and marriage when we follow the word and obey it. Some like to look at the word as a buffet to pick and choose from. The word is alive and needs to be applied and obeyed in order to see the fullness of God in our lives and to have peace and joy! Understanding how blessed you are when you do is amazing? Ask yourself this question, if you don’t have an authority in your life and marriage, how are you doing? Do you think it’s going well? Or are you always trying to fix something, make something happen, and feeling like nothing will ever change?
Scripture

Tuesday: Habbakúk 2:2-3 says, “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that whoever reads it may run with it.” Write down your dreams and believe God for great things!
Wednesday: Luke 1:37 says, “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Walk in expectant faith in your marriage and life!! God will do miracles!!
Thursday: Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” Be intentional and He will do great miracles!
Friday: Psalm 37:4 says, “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart” Seek Him and watch what He will do in your life and marriage!
Saturday: Hebrews 13:7 says, “Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that [is] unprofitable for you.” This will bless your marriage more than you know and your life!
Sunday: Matthew 8:9-10 says, “For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.” Learning to be under authority is walking by faith!
