Unwrap Today With Care
Unwrap Today With Care
I love unwrapping presents, not knowing what it’s going to be, the anticipation, the excitement of being given a gift with love! But I really love giving a gift to be unwrapped by the ones I love. I have an idea for the next 7 days to give to your spouse each day to keep each day special. Day 1: do something small for your spouse that says I love you, and not something you normally do! A kiss at the door, putting down your phone to spend quality time together, read a short story together.

Fun Day
Day 2 of giving to your spouse is going to be about fun! Do something today that takes a little more thought, something that is fun and shows your spouse you are thinking of them and all the fun you have had, either while dating or in your marriage. Remember something you did together that made you laugh, or was silly, maybe try and recreate that!
Meet The Need
Day 3: Surprise your spouse today with meeting a need. It can be washing their car, cleaning it out, take care of an item on their to do list. Pick up the kiddos from school/daycare(make sure you let them know.) Even a physical or emotional need. Hugs, kisses, anything you know makes them happy. This is so important to a marriage! We need to look for ways to meet their needs.
Romantic Gesture
Day 4: Go the extra mile and be romantic: flowers, gift certificate for a massage, their favorite candy, or dinner! Go for a walk, talk about dreams you have together, or plan a vacation!! Do something to say, “you’re not just my best friend, but my lover!” You want them to know you only have eyes for them!
Love With Food
Day 5: Wake your spouse up with coffee or breakfast in bed. Take them lunch or a treat! Find a way to physically show them you are thinking of them! They say the way to a man is through his stomach.. this can be true for women too! Women like to be taken care of, to be doted on, to know you are thoughtful enough to bring them coffee, or some breakfast, or a nice dinner. A man usually is good with his favorite meal!
Written Declaration Of Love
Day 6: Give them a love note, card, send a cute text saying I miss you! Write them a letter, any way you can think of to write out how you feel about them! Let them know you love them with words! Poets for generations have poured out their hearts to the ones they love in sonnets, songs, and poetry! A grateful heart will adore and welcome a sweet note!
Adventure Awaits
Day 7: Plan something special! Be creative, make it adventurous, exciting, and a memory you won’t soon forget! You could get a hotel for the night, dinner, look at lights, go to an event for Christmas time! Enjoy one another, and don’t discuss any problems, kids, work, etc! Have fun… don’t forget to date your spouse!!
Scriptures
Monday: Romans 12:8 says, “Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.” When you give, sometimes it’s about doing something simple, yet with love!
Tuesday: Proverbs 17:22 says, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.” Laughter in marriage is said to even improve your health! It definitely improves your mood. Pray you can laugh even in the difficult times!
Wednesday: Song of Solomon 1:2 says, “Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.” Song of Solomon is a great book of the bible to get some inspiration for your marriage. Kissing, embracing, being close to your spouse creates intimacy!
Thursday: Song of Solomon 2:16 says, “My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feedeth among the lilies.” My husband is my everything, I still look at him with such admiration and love! Pray today for the Lord to help you look at your spouse for the first time again today!
Friday: Proverbs 15:17 says, “Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.” Pray you remember food is good, but if there is no love, it really doesn’t satisfy. Give your spouse something yummy with love!
Saturday: Song of Solomon 4:7 says, “Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.” Written in the Bible is some of the most romantic words. Write something to the one whom your soul loveth!
Sunday: Genesis 2:24 says, “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” Part of getting away, planning something special is cleaving unto your spouse, it’s then that you become one!
