Heart Matters

How’s Your Heart

How is your heart? When we look at the matters of the heart, it’s definitely not easily revealed.  You can be deceived by your heart.  Our heart can lie to us, pull us to what we desire, instead of what we need!  The world says follow your heart! vGods Word says the heart is deceitful above all things.

Marriage Matters

When it comes to your heart and marriage we can get lost!  We say we fall in love, and fall out of love, are head over heels, then running out the door!  Why are we so fickle when it comes to marriage?  When you don’t have a covenant relationship, you are living by how your heart feels at the moment.

Keep Your Heart

When we keep, or guard our hearts with all diligence, we are learning to protect our lives, marriages, and family!  We are intentional about protecting what God has given us and respecting the covenant we made with and before God.  Keeping your heart in marriage is so important to the health of our marriage.

Covenant Marriage

Our marriages, when we stand before God, are a covenant!  They are a promise, a vow, our word, to love, even when things are bad.  Marriage is easier to keep it when you don’t just make it, a make it now, break it later, agreement.  It’s for life, til death do you part.  A covenant isn’t just a piece of paper you can tear up or throw away when things don’t fit your desires.  It is a lifetime of love, patience forgiveness, and commitment.

Do You Agree

Do you agree with the word?  Agree with what God has asked you to do in your marriage?  How about what you said in your vows?  How’s your heart?  If you don’t agree, you might as well throw everything out.  The word is of God is true in it’s entirety!  We may not like it in today’s society, but God doesn’t change.  He says our hearts need to be clean, and we must have a new heart.

Heart Of Flesh

In His word, God says He will take our heart of stone and give us a heart of flesh.  A new heart.  He’s taking about putting a new Spirit within us.  He’s talking about the Holy Ghost, which can transform us as He lives within us!  We need His Spirit to be saved!  We need it to have the fruit of the Spirit!  It’s not automatic, it’s a work in progress, being consistent, so we can be blessed in our marriages!!

The Lord Ponders Our Hearts

In Marriage, we think we are right, in our own eyes.  Most aren’t thinking in an argument, a fight, or at the end of their marriage, that they are completely at fault, or even partly.  Our flesh and pride says, “It’s not my fault!”  But God ponders our hearts, He sees our true motives, issues, and reasons.  We can lie to others, ourselves, but we can’t lie to God.  He knows.

Prayers

Our prayer for you is that God would give you a new heart!  That God would help you to examine your hearts, to keep them, and to clean them!!  That your marriage would be blessed and full of love!  Trust the Lord today with your heart and your marriage!
